Oma Sharif, the Egyptian actor, died. He was the protagonist in 'Doctor Zhivago' and 'Lawrence of Arabia' movies, according to the online newspaper "Noticias ao Minuto".
Born in Alexandria, Egypt, gained international fame and an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film 'Lawrence of Arabia', 1962, with Peter O'Toole.
In 2004, he won the Cesar award for best actor, for his role in the French movie "Monsieur Ibrahim et Les Fleurs du Coran".
